One Year Ago (I): My First Birthday

Finally, I reached the first positive integer, one. My birthday party was secretly plotted by Stephanie Gugu, Mimi and Mama two months ahead of time. Mama had no idea on how to plan a birthday party for her son. However, she knew how to handle it. She assigned this job to Stephanie Gugu as the event planner and director and she followed every order that Gugu assigned.

To plan a birthday party, the most important thing is to decide the theme. Once the theme is decided, the color follows and the rest follows the theme and the color. For my first birthday, Baba proposed Star Trek theme since he and Mama had been watching Star Trek for quite a while. Gugu thought it was a great idea. Once the theme was decided, yellow and black color followed. The rest, birthday party invitation, birthday outfits, table cloth, balloons, decorations, utensils, cakes etc, followed the choice of the theme and the color.

Here is a virtual tour of our birthday party design.
- Invitation of the birthday party (Evite).
(It was not exactly the same invitation that Mama sent out one year ago. She recovered it so it looked almost the same).

- Birthday banners

 - My growing up pictures

- Table cloth and cake

- Mimi was filling up the yellow and black balloons

 - Guest book,

- My dear Mimi, Popo and Mama (Baba will show up later)

- Yes. The birthday boy in Captain Kirk's outfit, the highlight of the party.

Now, let's start the party.
Guests started to come in and fill out the guest book. Micky drew a Micky mouse on the guest book for me.

Eliza signed my guest book with the help of her mom.

Our guests were chatting with the birthday boy.

There, my dear Baba with my dear Mama.

Wow, look what Popo got for me. A fire truck!
It was the adults' mistake to put me on the fire truck. I couldn't get off from it once I was on it.

I still sit on the fire truck when every body was singing Happy Birthday to me.

I sit on the fire truck when Baba and Mama fed me birthday cake.

Our friends were having a good time together.

So did little Brycen.

Mama's friend, Li/Xijie, Qun/Regan, arrived near the end of the birthday party due to the traffic driving from New York to Boston. So we started our second party.

Boy, two parties in a row made me tired. The end!
