It is this woman, our dear Popo (婆婆), who hold Lex Gege's hand and walked him through several Springs, Summers, Autumns and Winters. Now, my little hand is holding her other hand.
Mama found Popo through Boston Shenghuo Net. Mama put an advertisement on Shenghuo net three months before Lex's expected date. Several days late, Popo called her. They have been through phone interviews, onsite interviews (both sites, Framingham and Malden, where Popo lives) and offering a job and accepting offer. Popo waited for Mama for one month after her last job. She came to our house one week before Lex was born.
There was a running-in-period, but both sides dealt it well. Popo has a knife mouth tofu heart (刀子嘴豆腐心), a sharp tongue and a soft heart. She likes to speak in a loud voice and she still keeps this habit up to now. People does not really change. Some one said it in a recent movie.
She did not treat nanny just as a job, and she input her affection into this job. She loves Lex so much that Mama couldn't bear sending Lex to daycare when he turned to two. She was afraid of breaking the bond between her and Lex. Lex eventually went to part time preschool when he turned to 2 yrs and 9 months old, and full time preschool after three. Here he is, a four years old boy.
I was the reason to keep Popo with us.
While Lex is still occupying part of her heart, I filled a new part of her heart.
We love you, Popo. You are and will be always be in Luter's family's heart!
Thank you for taking care of us!
