Boston First Night

Today is the last day of 2011. We heard about "Boston First Night" celebration event before and we decided to be part of it this year.

We took train to Boston from my home Framingham in the late afternoon. It was about 5PM and the parade was going to start soon. While we were watching the parade team to get ready for the parade, we thought that maybe it is fun to join them. Now, we officially became members of the Sun team.

The drummers and dancers were performing right in front of us. What a zealous music! The entire Bolyston Street was flooded with loud happiness. It was a exact right time for me to ask for my late nap for the day.

Where am I? I must not in the parade. Here was much quieter and it waked me up.

It turned out we were in Emmanuel Church on Newbury Street. It was where the Sun team went to return the banners and to have a rest after the parade.

As a team member of the Sun team, I enjoyed my maple cookies and cranberry drinks to award myself from a hard work (sleeping through the parade).

After enough cookies and drinks, we went to the Copley Square to see the ice sculptures.

Happy New Year, Boston!
