The Biggest Snow & Chinese New Year

We had the biggest snow in this year the day before Chinese New Year, Feb, 10th. It took Baba huge effort to open the door to the deck. Wow, the snow was up to my chest!

To Chinese people, they would tell you "A timely snow promises a good harvest" (瑞雪照丰年). To me, a big snow means a big play! Yeah!

My formal snow outfit was left in my preschool. Mama equipped me with my alternative snow outfit, a pair of thick pants, no boots. It means that they probably would cut my snow playing time. So, I had to hurry up to take full advantage of the big snow.

Baba was shoving the snow in our front yard to make an open igloo for me.  I got to help him out.

Wow! Look at this. A big room with an arch door. It was specifically made for me. Let me get in and sit in the room, enjoying the quite time.

Ok, time to get out!

The next day, Feb, 10th, Popo's family treated our family a big meal to celebrate Chinese New Year. It was the year of  snake.

We went to China town, Peach Farm restaurant (小桃源海鲜菜馆). I had Chinese tea with Popo's daughter - in - law.

Look the delicious food! Can we celebrate New Year every day?!

My First Preschool_Bright Horizon (Wayland)

On February 4th, I turned to 2 years and 9 months old, a preschool age.  Two days later, I started my preschool career, two days a week in Bright Horizon at Wayland.

Mama and Popo really worried about me. It was going to be my first time to be far away from home,  will I adapt to it easily? On the first day, Mama drove me to the school. Do I look worried?!

Fifteen minutes later, we were at the door of the school. I took my lunch box and directly walked to the door.

Here was my classroom, Preschool 2. Wow, they have a big wooden trucks and small ones too. How do they know that I love those stuff?!

Do I need to say Byebye to Mama? Ok, Byebye Mama.

In the evening, I was still exploring other toys in my school, then I spied Mama. That was the end of my first day.

On the way home, Mama told me that she got a phone call from my teacher, Ms. Liz, in the afternoon. Ms. Liz said that I did very well on my first day. I guess that I did. I had fun on my first day. We learned about the Chinese New Year and I loved pretending to be a dragon, a lion and a snake. Preschool kept me busy!
