Christmas Vacation (II)

On the second day after Christmas,  Lex Gege started to feel better. He even read a story to me during the day.

On the third day after Christmas, he felt even better. He went outside to play his Christmas gift from Mimi and Papa, a Radio Flyer scooter.

Papa gave him a mission, picking up the acorns on the front yard. He got a full container in no time, of course, with a big help from Mama.

While Lex was enjoying his scooter, outside the house, I enjoyed taking a bath in a whale bath tub inside the house.

I also had chance to meet Sara, Mama's friends Karen and Feng Xiang's daughter. Karen and Sara were on the way to move to Atlanta from Arkansas. Mama invited them to stop by Mimi and Papa's house to have supper with us.

On the forth day after Xmas, Tucker and Ella Rene were sent by Stephanie Gugu and Davide Shushu to Mimi and Papa's house. Both Gugu and Shushu were sick from a trip to visit Tucker's other Grandparents. This was the reason that we did not have their pictures for this year's Christmas.

Mimi took all of us to the Riverchase Galleria mall.

The biggest mission on that day in the mall was to build a Bear from Build a Bear workshop. Here are the procedures:

First you pick what you want to build. It can be an animal, a cartoon character or others. Then you wait in line to feed cottons in his belly.

Then, you give your pick a bath.

Lex picked a real bear, while Tucker chose to build Santa. It looked that Ella Rene picked a cute mouse.

After you cleaning your pick, you can choose a outfit for her/him/it.
Lex picked a superman outfit for his bear. Tucker picked a winter outfit for his Santa. I don't know if this Santa is going to bring him extra Christmas gifts. Oh, I forget to mention that Mimi built a brown rabbit for me.

The jumping monkey was one of Tucker's Christmas gift. Lex had one too.

The following day was our uniform day. Who made the outfit for us? Can you guess?!
You are right! Out talented Stephanie Gugu.

The following following day was our flying day, flying back to Boston.
Guess what! I beat Lex Gege by two months for the first time to be on an airplane. It was pretty comfortable. I knew that Baba probably won't agree with me.

Every holiday appears to have its extended period, especially the big Christmas holiday. Baba received a gift from a secret Santa at the last day of 2013.

Christmas Vacation (I)

We arrived at Mimi and Papa house on Dec, 22nd. Papa made a famous Louisiana dish, crawfish etoufee, for dinner. Even though I couldn't taste it, it looked very yummy to me. Since this is one of Mama and Baba's favorite dishes, it will become mine too in the future.

Stephanie Gugu, David Shushu, Tucker and Ella Rene came over and had dinner with us. We did not take Gugu and Shushu photos at that time because we thought that we would have enough time to do it since we were going to stay for a whole week. Our vacation just started.

Lex's illness started to show the second day at Birmingham. Mimi, Mama and Baba took him to a doctor. He had to take medicines several times a day.  His energy dropped dramatically. He slept a lot in the first several days and the sleeping helped him to get over the illness.

There are some things in Mimi and Papa's house that we do not have in our house. The bumbo seat was one of them. I loved the bumbo seat. Once I sit in it, it was difficult for me to get out. I did not mind at all.

Dusty is new to me too. He probably thought that I was new toy to him too. We spent some time to check each other out.

On Christmas eve, Papa and Mimi made another famous Luter's family's dish, meat ball and spaghetti. Mama usually doesn't like tomato sauce pasta, but she loved this dish made at Mimi and Papa's house.

Look, Lex Gege liked it too.

This yummy dish put smile on Lex's face. He was getting better.

Oh, yes, Christmas Eve, what should we do?!

Choo Choo Train Takes me to Birmingham

History repeats herself. Can't you believe it?! I, at age 7 months, was going to take the Choo Choo Train from Boston, MA to Birmingham, AL, just like what Lex Gege did three years ago. I am very excited, so does Lex.

Please do not forget me, I am here too.

We adopted Shichu as our sister since she is "homeless", so she came with us too.

It took the train an entire day to go from the North to the South. We left in the early morning on Dec, 21st and arrived at Birmingham around noon time on Dec, 22nd. It was such a relaxing fashion to travel by the train. Shichu read a book, Baba and Lex watched videos on iPad and Mama had lots of fun by simply taking care of me. Was I right, Mama?!

As for me, I smiled, looked around, worked hard on eating an apple and slept most of the time.

In the end, we still felt tired despite of the relaxing atmosphere. Lex seemed more tired than anybody else. We later knew that he caught some disease from the train trip ...
