多才多艺 (Versatile) 的邓奶奶

Popo needs to go back to China to visit for one month. She asked Deng Nainai to take care of me while she is gone. Even though Deng Nainai only stayed with us for short period of time, I learned a lot from her, so did Mama.

She read poems, sang songs and drew cute animals for me. In the picture below, these are the drawings that Deng Nainai did for me, except for one. Can you guess?



Yes, the one has "兔妈妈" on it. Mama actually drew it.

Yes! Mama finally finished the project of building the classic Volkswagen Camper Van from 1962.



Every iconic feature is here!

On the outside,

• the terrific detailing includes 'V' shape three-way color split at the front,
• rounded roof and window frames,
• opening 'splittie' safari windshield, opening doors,
• iconic pop-up roof with textile curtain surround, roof rack, rear side air intake vents
• and lots more!

On the inside,

• the authentic VW air-cooled flat four cylinder boxer engine,
• front cabin bench seat,
• gear stick,
• angled dashboard and iconic spherical speedometer,
• custom LEGO® features like folding rear bench seat, folding dinette table, closet with mirror and even a painting![1]

Meet With Mama's Friends

Finally, Mama and Fenni met Ankita and Darshan at our house. It was the first time for Mama and Fenni to see Ankita's husband, Darshan. Fenni and Ankita are two best friends of Mama when she worked for Alkermes. While I had chance to hang out at Fenni's house from time to time, it was my first time to see Ankita and Darshan.  Mama witnessed their long distance dating when she rode the train together with Ankita from work to home.
 

One Year Ago: My Short February

February usually is the shortest month in the year. However, my activities as 9 month old is not the shortest in my year.

I had a taste of urban life at the beginning of this month.


I transformed to a Vampire when Mama handed me a rice cracker.

In the mid of the month, I met Shida the first time.

In the end of this month, I met Liwei and her little friend in AZ the first time. BTW, it was my first time to take airplane.


I also met Xuan the first time. Her two boys kept calling me "Meimei".


I constantly practiced my music and aerobics.

I also learned new skills.
