Love From Fight Sight: Trike

I felt like something big was going to happen today. I actively participated house chaos and patiently waited for this moment .

There it is! My red trike. Oh, the components for my trike!

I was anxious to watch Baba finish assembling the Trike. I even attempted to help several times but it turned out to slow down the progress. Mama had to take me to a walk while Baba was working on it.

After we came back from a stroll along the lake, I saw it, my little red-blue-yellow Trike, standing there proudly...

I finally ride on my Trike. My Trike is several months older than me. I received it as a gift from one of Mama's best friends in graduate school, Shida, before I was born. She wants Mama to have the same great memories from this trike as she did with her son. Thank you, Shida.

It took Baba and Mama great effort to get me off from my trike that day.

Mr. Peter and Two Thanksgiving Meals

I found Mr. Peter in Trader Joe’s on Thanksgiving day. He was up toward the ceiling and looking down at me with a big smile. I looked at Baba, “Can I have him?” Baba said something to the clerk in the store. Then Mama took Peter out leaving us behind at the cashier. When Baba and I finally finished paying for the groceries and came to the car, Mr. Peter was there, smiling at me.

Peter was very playful. I wanted to put him down, however, he always liked to stand up.

I said, Mr. Peter, please lay down. He always said no. Finally, I defeated him.

Peter you owe me money, pay up or it's tickles for you!

Unlike most of Americans only having one major meal on Thanksgiving day, we had two major meals . One was American, authentic Turkey meals and one was Chinese, authentic Hunan dishes.

Leo and Tiffany came around 1PM. Leo ordered free food from Whole Foods (they made a mistake on his order, so they let him have all the food free), including turkey, mesh potatoes. Tiffany made peach desert, mesh pumpkin and stuffing for the Turkey. After lunch, they played board games with Baba and left for home before our Hunan meals. I thought they would stay to take the challenges of eating spicy food.

Guoguo's family come around 6PM. Guoguo's Mama made steamed Pork with dry long beans (五花肉蒸干豆角)and Bacon with green chili pepper. Why Bacon? It was the meat we found here resembled Hunan 腊肉. Mama made four dishes, two spicy ones and two non-spicy ones. The two spicy ones were stir fried dry white pepper with chicken parts and steamed fish with hot peppers. The two non-spicy ones were winter melon soup (冬瓜肉骨头汤) and green leaves vegetable.

After dinner, adults watched Guoguo and I playing together.

Then we chilled down on the sofa and watched some movie.

A Daytrip to Portsmouth (NH)

We took a day trip to Portsmouth on the same day after the musical class that Mimi and Baba went to. Mama switched our class to the earliest one so we can be at Rye beach around 1PM. Why 1PM? Because that is the time when Micky surfs on the sea.

Here is she. When she started to learn surfing this year, she fell in love with it immediately. Christine brought her to beaches every weekends since then. Today, she is trying her new surfing board here. Tomorrow, they will go to a different beach to surf.

While Micky was beating by the sea waves, we walked along the beach to enjoy the view.

It was a warm early November day, but the wind on the beach made us feel very chilly. After one hour, we decided to go to the Portmouth for sightseeing and meet up with Micky and Christine later.

Christine suggested us to stop by the Treehouse Toys at Portmouth. We did and Mimi bought me a car there.

After an enjoyable walk around the city, we arrived at Portsmouth Brewery to meet Micky and Christine.

The Portsmouth Brewery, New Hampshire's original brewpub, has been serving great food and outstanding handcrafted beers in a friendly, lively atmosphere since 1991 [1]. Micky always knows where to eat. All the restaurants we went in New York this July were all under her recommendations.

While we were waiting for the food, I exercised my appetite.

Baba always like to ask waiter or waitress for recommendation for his meal. He normally is satisfied with his meal.

I was not sure about it this time.

My Musical Class and My Uh-oh Song

Started from September, Mama has been taking me to this musical together class in Framingham on Saturday mornings. When Mimi visited us in November, I am in my midterm of the class. Mama asked Mimi and Baba to come to the class with us.

In our class, we normally sit on the floor to form circle. We start with a waking up, stretching and welcome everybody song. After that, we do all kinds of animal sounds, bird, cat, dog, horse, fish, etc. Then, we sing and move with songs together. We walk around, or jump around, or ride on our adults. When our teacher says "It our music play time", we rush to the big bins that she places on the floor and pick the musical instruments to play.

When our teacher says "Bang Bang", we know it is time for us to put the musical instruments back to the bin. In my first class, I cried to hold on my musical toy. Now, I even help other kids to put the toys back. I would also look around to see if some toys left on the floor.

I have to confess that I always stray from the circle and walk to the door or sink or window areas. However, I always come back to the middle of the circle from time to time. Especially when our teacher says "One Two Three", then blow, light off. Everybody is quiet and we sing a quite song together.

One, two, three, blow, lights on, we sing Goodbye song and do high five or hugs to our teacher.

I like to do high fives, but it does not mean that I want to leave the musical class as soon as I can.

One of the direct results from musical class is that I can create Uh-oh song by myself.

Flowers & Mimi, Truck & Shichu, Go & Baba, Me, Guoguo & me

Wow, our kitchen counter is full of flowers. Baba bought them for Mama's birthday. Several days later, Mimi came here to visit us.

Shichu came during Mama's birthday week. We played trucks together.

Shichu supported me by playing trucks with me. I supported her back by giving my applause for her singing.

They are out of tune, you know...

Hmm, black and white stones. Baba, when are you going to teach me to play?

Mama is the hair dresser. Does my hair look stylish?

I am trying to be trendy on my foot wear.

Mama introduced Guoguo's family to Mimi and we had dinner at BBB (The British Beer Company) which was considered to be beer manufacturer by Guoguo's Mama and Baba before. After dinner, Guoguo gave me tons of sweetness.
