Yard Work, October Snow, Monkey Outfit, Halloween, Beauty/Strength

Yard Work

I was helping Baba to build a flower/vegetable garden in our front yard.

October Snow

The unfinished great wall we built for our garden in the snow.

More snow on our patio furniture,

Also, one October snowy evening, we were guinea pigs for a Chinese restaurant near our house. Baba encouraged Mama to order two lobsters and Mama ended up eating them all on her own. Their food was unexpectedly good.

Monkey Outfit

Stephanie Gugu made me an outfit with a monkey face on it. I wore them to go to my music class. The monkey face caused tons of “Wow” factor.

Halloween

Yes, I know. When we went for the Halloween event in Natick Mall, I still wore my last year’s Tiger outfit. The tiger grew bigger and the outfit was still the same.

I won the best custom award for this year. The candy corn was my prize. But then, every participant also won the award.

I did not want my face painted even though Mama and Papa had waited a whole hour for this moment.

Big orange dot, close enough, I think we can agree that's a compromise.

Guoguo’s halloween custom was not scary at all.

Guoguo, don't touch my face, I'm still upset about the face painting!

Finally, my real Halloween custom for this year.

Vampire or Superman?

Vampire was off duty.

Beauty/Strength

My beauty,

I don't care what they say Darling, you're Beautiful!

and my strength.

A Trip to Berkshire in a Rainy Day in the Fall

The weather forecast said that it was going to rain on that Saturday. However, it did not stop us from going.

We were going to meet Guoguo's family at the Whitney’s Farm Market in Cheshire and it would become our starting point for the scenic driving route. Baba stopped at the Pittsfield on the way to get some his opium: a pack of giant peanut cookies and a loaf of bread. He smiled like a bear got his honey.

When we finaly arrived at the Whitney’s Farm Market, Guoguo already played at their playground for one hour. There are much going on besides selling fresh produce in the Market, such as pony rides, pumpkin picking, a corn maze, and hayrides.

I couldn't resist the temptation to ride on this tractor.

Want to ride with me?

Hi, Guogou.

Those pumpkins are huge!

Mama, I am coming.

Guoguo’s mama suggested several dinning places for lunch. We agreed to pick one on the way up north before North Adams. We stopped at the Red Carpet and stood on the side of the road to wait for them since we were ahead of them. We waited and waited and they still had not come. It turned out that they made a wrong turn and missed the restaurant. Both families were too hungry to make another arrangement, so we ate our lunch at the Red Carpet. They picked up something at North Adams.

Red Carpet is the oldest restaurant in Adams town. The floor does have red carpet on it. The restaurant looked old but it was clean and comfortable. The food was also fabulous. We had a good time there.

After lunch, we met up with Guoguo family in North Adams. The weather forecast did not fool us. It started to rain hard. We were winding up to the Mt. Grey-lock in the rain with the hope that we would see autumnal grander at the summit. The rain stopped when we arrived at the summit. The summit is the state’s highest point with 3,491 feet. It was foggy and cold on the summit. We wanted to get a hot drink in the rustic Bascom Lodge, however, it was closed for some events. Nevertheless, all of these severe conditions did not stop Mama from taking pictures. Indeed, she did grasp some views.

Guoguo’s Mama did not want to lag behind.

More views on the way back home,

The rain had stopped completely.
